Displaying the Verification Methodology for Verified Badges

Learn how to show the verification methodology for verified reviews, so customers can understand why a review is marked as verified.

How to enable the verification methodology

  1. Go to TrustWILL Product Reviews > Widget.

  2. Find the Verified badge settings.

  3. Select Show verification methodology.

  4. Save your changes.

Once enabled, the verification methodology will be displayed with the verified badge on your storefront.

Verification methodology rules

The verification text shown on the storefront depends on how the review was collected or added.

1. Confirmed order review

If the reviewer’s email matches a real order placed in your store, the review will be marked as verified with the following message:

The reviewer has a confirmed order at this store.

2. Review synced from another platform

If the review was imported or synced from another platform, such as Amazon or other external review sources, the following message will be displayed:

This review is synced from the other platforms.

3. Review added from CSV import

If the review was imported through a CSV file based on the store’s transaction records, the following message will be displayed:

This review was added from the store's transaction records.

Note

The verification methodology is only shown when Show verification methodology is enabled in the widget settings. If this option is not selected, the verified badge may still appear, but the verification source text will not be displayed on the storefront.
